Are our grandparents making our children fat?



Interesting story from The Daily Mail today:

Indulgent grandparents 'overfeed' kids and make them fat, scientists warn


It seems that grandparents babysitting have been a little to generous with the cakes and biscuits, leading to a rise in obesity and an increase in child healthcare issues.

British Heart Foundation Report Highlights Concerns over Child Exercise Levels

A very concerning report has been published by the British Heart Foundation which reveals that children across the UK are not getting the levels of exercise they require (60 minutes a day is recommended).

"Couch Kids - the nations future" contains some startling statistics, not least of which is that many girls and boys in England are not even exercising for 30 minutes each day.
