While a lot of us who care about ourselves and our health have health insurance policies, there are types of 'insurance' for health that aren't financial. For instance: healthy eating. If we take care of ourselves eating plenty of nutritious foods containing the right amount of vitamins and fibre, we're actually helping to safeguard our future health. While nothing is certain in terms of the future, it's still fair to say that the healthy eaters will have the fewer health problems during their lifetimes.
And while healthy eating is often very enjoyable, there are times when we wish we could all cheat a bit. If you're trying to lose a half stone in weight and it's slow in budging, for instance, it's tempting to turn away from the low-calorie healthy plates you've been serving up and start to cast around for easier, quicker ways. Unfortunately there are none. or at least, none that are scientifically proven. Special herbal teas and things like the much vaunted fruit of the acai tree. But sadly there is no scientific evidence that açaà consumption affects body weight or could promote weight loss.
